    wht kind of string is it?
    do I just have to put it on water?
    hw much time?

      Any string can be used, suggest to use thicker string.
      You need to soak the string in the glue water, until the whole strings are covered with the glue water completely.

      from other sources they use petroleum jelly/Vaseline to apply to the whole balloon before wrap it with the yarn.
