1. Face Mask
Crush the eggshells into a powder and mix with an egg white for a healthy, skin-firming facial. Allow to dry before rinsing off.
2. Treat Skin Irritations
Soak an eggshell in apple cider vinegar for a couple of days, then dab the mixture onto your skin as needed to relieve yourself from itchiness or minor irritations.
3. Strong Cleaner
For your pots and pans that take a little more muscle power to clean, mix in ground eggshells with some soap. The eggshells act as an abrasive to help clean those hard-to-remove pieces of food.
4. Garden Fertilizer
Sprinkle your crushed eggshells into each hole before planting, as well as around the base of the plants every couple of weeks. Eggshells are rich in calcium, which nourishes your plants and helps your garden to thrive.
5. Cat Deterrent
If you have a problem with cats getting into your garden and digging around as they please, sprinkle eggshells around and in your garden. After stepping on them a couple of times, those pesky cats will move on.
6. Better Tasting Coffee
By adding some crushed eggshells to ground coffee before brewing, your coffee will taste less bitter!
7. Powdered Calcium Supplement
Bake your eggshells at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Let them cool, grind into a powder, then simply add to your favourite drink once a day.
8. Laundry Whitener
By tossing your shells into a mesh bag with your laundry, the gray tint in your whites will disappear!
